An Honest Update About our Bernard campus

ProducKIDvity's other locations remain open, fully staffed, and unaffected. This update explains what has changed, what hasn't, and how we are supporting the families involved.

The short version

ProducKIDvity's Bernard campus in Kelowna has closed. The closure followed a dispute with the building's landlord and concerned the premises only, not the care provided, the children, or the staff. Every other ProducKIDvity location remains open and operating normally, and families at those locations will see no change to their child's day.

What happened at the Bernard campus

ProducKIDvity's Bernard campus has ceased operating following a dispute with the building's landlord over the premises. The decision was driven by the building and the lease, circumstances tied to the property itself, not to the program delivered inside it.

ProducKIDvity wishes to be clear on one point above all: the quality of care, the educators, and the standards inside its rooms were never in question. This was a matter of the building, not of the children or the people who look after them.

Out of respect for the families involved, and because certain matters remain ongoing, ProducKIDvity will not be commenting further on the specifics of the dispute at this time.

What this means for families at our other locations

For families at ProducKIDvity's other locations, nothing about your child's day changes.

The three other Kelowna locations and Saskatoon campus are fully open and operating exactly as before. Specifically:

  • The same educators and staff your child knows remain in place.

  • Programs, hours, ratios, and daily routines are unchanged.

  • Enrollment, billing, and subsidy arrangements continue as normal.

  • Your child's spot is secure.

The Bernard closure is specific to that one location and its building. It does not affect the licensing, operation, or stability of any other ProducKIDvity location.

Support for Bernard families

ProducKIDvity is contacting every affected Bernard family directly to help with the transition. That support includes:

  • Priority placement at ProducKIDvity's other Kelowna location, subject to availability.

  • Hands-on help transferring enrollment and subsidy (CCFRI) arrangements so there is no gap in coverage.

  • Fair handling of any prepaid fees or deposits.

  • A single, direct point of contact to answer questions throughout the transition.

Any Bernard family who has not yet heard from us is encouraged to reach out at membership@produckidvity.com

A word about our team

"This has caused real grief, for our families and for the educators who pour themselves into this work every day," said Alex, Founder of ProducKIDvity. "If we can ask one thing of our community, it's to show kindness to the people on the frontlines. They have shown up for these children through a genuinely hard moment, doing their absolute best."

ProducKIDvity's educators and staff remain central to the organization, and supporting them through this period is a priority alongside supporting families.

What hasn't changed

ProducKIDvity's mission is the same as the day it began: to support working parents with care they can genuinely trust. The educators, the standards, and that commitment continue, unchanged, across every location.
